Irish Ferries’ Ireland/France cruise ferry 'Oscar Wilde' entered service between Rosslare and Cherbourg on 30th November 2007. The ‘Oscar Wilde’ brings new standards of comfort and luxury to our long established Ireland-France service.
Considered to be one of the most luxurious vessels of its type, the ‘Oscar Wilde’ was purchased by Irish Ferries in February 2007 at a cost of EUR45 million. The vessel has greater car and freight capacity than the vessel it replaces, and more berths and wider choice of stylish cabin accommodation. Modifications which were carried out on the vessel for the Ireland/France routes brought the total investment to over EUR50 million.
